Consultancy and Project Planning

Shape technical support for your resistance welding machine project, from design through production.

We advise companies developing resistance welding machines for their own production or for delivery to their customers. We tailor the scope of design and manufacturing support to the project and, when appropriate, supply equipment we make ourselves.

WHO WE SUPPORT

You build the machine; we support the stages where you need us

We advise manufacturers developing a machine for their own line and builders making a custom machine for a customer. Support can begin with one design decision or extend to the welding system, equipment selection, production preparation and application trials.

Together we plan the work around part geometry, materials, welding method, volume, target cycle time and the maturity of the machine design.

DESIGN CONSULTANCY

Consider welding from the beginning of machine design

We review drawings, sample parts and process expectations. Electrode access, part positioning, clamping, current path, cooling and maintenance access are considered alongside the machine design.

This helps identify potential conflicts before production and establish a workable technical basis for welding. Final design decisions and responsibilities follow the agreed scope.

AT THE SCREEN AND IN THE MEETING ROOM

Consultancy also happens at the design desk

Reviewing the design together

Technical support goes beyond inspection at the machine. Our engineers review drawings and CAD models with the customer team on screen, discussing welding equipment placement, part flow and machine interfaces.

Comparing options together

In meetings, we can discuss alternative layouts through drawings and projected presentations. These reviews help compare feasibility against production goals and align decisions across teams. The format and deliverables depend on the project.

PRODUCTION AND APPLICATION SUPPORT

Turn a design into a working installation

During manufacture, we can advise on welding equipment placement, connections, electrodes, fixtures and mechanical and electrical integration. Where useful, we review the approach with prototypes or samples and discuss findings from commissioning and initial trials.

Consultancy does not transfer responsibility for building the entire machine to AKWA. Our design deliverables, equipment, tests and support steps are defined in the quotation.

SUPPORT WITH EQUIPMENT WE MANUFACTURE

Technical advice with suitable equipment

Where appropriate, we can supply resistance welding equipment produced by AKWA Technic. Together we consider options, mounting interfaces and operating requirements in the context of your machine and welding application.

We select equipment according to the technical needs of the part and machine, rather than from a fixed package.

TAILORED TO YOUR PROJECT

From one technical review to wider project support

Design review

Review of drawings, parts and the welding approach.

Project planning

Considering welding, machine layout, fixtures and equipment interfaces together.

Manufacturing advice

Reviewing technical questions that arise during production.

Equipment support

Selecting and supplying suitable AKWA equipment for the project.

Trials and commissioning

Reviewing samples and initial applications within the agreed scope.

Not every project needs every item. We agree on scope, deliverables and responsibilities based on your needs.

How we work

01

Understand the need

We learn the machine’s purpose, part, material and production targets.

02

Review technical data

We assess drawings, samples, existing designs and process information.

03

Agree the scope

We define advisory work, AKWA deliverables and potential equipment needs.

04

Develop together

We work through decisions via screen reviews, meetings and site work when needed.

05

Review the application

Within the agreed scope, we review samples, assembly or initial welding trials.
